Grey & Gentle is a calm, honest guide for one of the hardest, tenderest stretches of a dog's life — the slowing down. The name says it: Grey, for the gray muzzle, and Gentle, for the kind of care an aging dog deserves.

Why this site exists

Watching a dog slow down is hard, and the gear that's supposed to help is confusing and drenched in marketing. Search "best orthopedic dog bed" and you get a wall of near-identical listicles, half of them with a review count standing in for a reason, some of them with a "last updated" date set in the future. We built Grey & Gentle to be the opposite of that: to lead with the problem you're actually solving, to be honest about what we do and don't know, and to make the buy easy without ever burying or over-selling it.

Who writes it

Grey & Gentle is written by Stephen V., an enthusiast — someone genuinely interested in senior-dog care and the gear that helps aging dogs stay comfortable and mobile. Here's how Stephen puts it:

“I run Grey & Gentle because watching a dog slow down is hard, and the gear that's supposed to help is confusing and full of marketing. I'm not a vet and I don't have a lab. What I do is read the manuals and spec sheets, compile the numbers into plain comparisons, check prices before I recommend anything, and tell you when to skip something. When a question is medical, I'll say so and point you to your vet.”
